If you haven’t picked up on this yet… we love a themed party.
And we love golf.
So naturally, we really love Masters Weekend.
There’s just something about it—the tradition, the colors, the calm-but-competitive energy, the iconic food, the fact that it feels like the official kickoff to spring. It’s classy and cozy and fun all at once.
We usually host our Masters party on Saturday, and it has become one of our favorite little traditions.
The Decor: Simple, Classic, and On Theme

When it comes to Masters decor, I keep it pretty simple and traditional.
Think: Augusta vibes.
Our go-to setup includes:
💚 Green and white striped tablecloth
💛 Pops of green and yellow throughout
✨ A light-up “Masters” sign
🍽️ Melamine serving bowls and dishes (I found the cutest ones at Walmart last year—so keep your eyes open everywhere!)
This is your reminder that cute party pieces can come from literally anywhere—Target, Walmart, HomeGoods, Hobby Lobby, Aldi… I’ve found gems in all of them.
Don’t feel like you need to order specialty items online. Just keep your eyes open when you’re out and about!
The Menu: Crowd-Pleasers Only
I’m a big fan of food that feels fun, festive, and doesn’t require me to be stuck in the kitchen all day.
This year, our main food feature was a massive charcuterie board—and honestly, it’s undefeated.
Charcuterie works for:✔️ Kids✔️ Adults✔️ Grazing✔️ Long parties✔️ Zero stress
Win-win.
Must-Have Masters-Inspired Foods

Here’s what we served (and loved):
🧀 Charcuterie board (meats, cheeses, fruit, crackers, nuts, chocolate, etc.)
🥪 Pimento cheese dip
Homemade if you’re feeling fancy
Aldi’s version if you’re feeling realistic (me)
A Masters-Themed Dessert Idea
If you want to go full theme, here are a few easy and fun dessert ideas:
🏌️♂️ Golf Ball Cake Pops – White cake pops with dimples drawn on
⛳️ “Dirt & Grass” Cups – Chocolate pudding + crushed Oreos + green sprinkles
🍋 Lemon Bars – A nod to spring + Augusta’s iconic vibe
Cute, simple, and totally on theme.
The Drinks: A Must-Have Azalea Cocktail

If you’re hosting a Masters party, the Azalea cocktail is non-negotiable.
It’s light, refreshing, and dangerously good.
We served ours with:🍹 Golf ball toothpicks🍓 Fresh garnishes💚 Clear cups so you could see the color
We also stuck those little golf ball toothpicks into the charcuterie board—because tiny details = elite party vibes.
Add a Putting Challenge (Trust Me—Do This)
One of the best additions to our Masters party this year was a putting challenge, and it was a hit with kids and adults.
It gave everyone something to do besides just sitting and snacking—and it turned into a whole competitive moment (in the best way).
We used this putting mat from Amazon, and it was perfect:👉 https://amzn.to/3ZpCQah
It’s easy to roll out, works inside or outside, and instantly makes your party feel interactive.
How We Set It Up:
⛳️ Simple putting station (inside or outside)
🏆 Everyone gets 3–5 putts
📝 Keep score on a little notepad or chalkboard
🎁 Winner gets a fun prize (candy, a Masters-themed cup, bragging rights, etc.)
You can also do:
• Kids division
• Adults division
• Team challenges
• Closest-to-the-pin
• Longest putt
It doesn’t have to be fancy—just fun.
And honestly? This was one of those things that made people stay longer, laugh more, and actually play instead of just eat.
Highly recommend.
Outdoor Setup = Game Changer
The weather was absolutely perfect, so being outside was a must.
But also… it was the Masters. So we couldn’t not watch.
Enter: Outdoor TV setup.
This was a game changer.
We could:
🌞 Enjoy the sunshine
📺 Watch the tournament
🧀 Snack nonstop
🪑 Lounge comfortably
If you can swing it—even just moving a TV near a door or garage—do it. It changes everything.
Why We Love Hosting Masters Weekend
It’s not a major holiday. There’s no pressure. There are no expectations.
It’s just fun.
It’s friends, good food, fresh air, themed details, and something fun on in the background.
It’s one of those weekends that feels special without being stressful—and that’s exactly what I aim for.
